BLOOD WASHES EVERYTHING AWAY (ALBUM)

2025 – Album
No Good To Anyone Productions, Duality Records, Specific Recordings, Crypt of Dr. Gore, Hecatombe Records

Punitive, dirty, expeditious, and exhilarating, Death Whore’s music is a mix of death metal and crust-punk, filtered through the urgency of hardcore-punk and the sonic intensity of sludge. With their debut album “Blood Washes Everything Away” — following the EPs “self-titled” (2020) and “Total Teutonic Torso” (2022) — the band hammers the point home, delivering their most radical and uncompromising record to date.

At the heart of the album’s 11 tracks and 34 minutes, Death Whore portrays the alienation of the modern world and the absurdity of capitalist systems, expressed through ironic lyrics influenced by the absurdism of Samuel Beckett and the urban claustrophobia of J.G. Ballard. This suffocating atmosphere is reinforced by cinematic samples and keyboards, during slower, crawling tracks that evoke haunting soundscapes. The inhumanity at the core of the record cannot be contained, leaving the solution to the general bloodletting hinted at by the album’s title.

The members of Death Whore, who hail from bands like Wheelfall, Phazm, Chaos Echoes, and Hypnagone, draw their influences from iconic figures in death metal (Obituary, Morbid Angel), crust-punk (Dystopia, Trap Them), and sludge (Buzzoven, Crowbar). Mixed internally at Studios de la Forge by Pierre “Gorgor” Schaffner, the album features mastering by James Plotkin (Khanate, Thou, Conan) and artwork by Hell Simulation aka Ethan Lee McCarthy (Primitive Man, Vermin Womb).

“Blood Washes Everything Away” will be released on May 16, 2025, co-produced by Duality Records, Crypt of Dr. Gore, Specific Recordings, Hecatombe Records, and No Good to Anyone Productions.

TOTAL TEUTONIC TORSO (EP)

2022 / 2023 (Definitive Version) – EP
No Good To Anyone Productions

On “Total Teutonic Torso”, DEATH WHORE, power-trio from Nancy (France), push their penchant for excess and irony, describing an abject and brutal world dominated by violence, sadism and opportunistic gratification, in a crossover between the violence of hardcore and the heaviness of death metal, in the most exuberant way.

Recorded, mixed and mastered at Studios de la Forge by Pierre “Gorgor” Schaffner, also the band’s drummer, this four-track EP (including one in French) sees the arrival of a new member: Antoine Duffour, taking over from Pat Mulot as bassist. Led on vocals and guitar by Fabien W. Furter, DEATH WHORE finds with “Total Teutonic Torso” a way to develop the groove and violence of the previous EP on more wild and raw territories.

In March 2023, Death Whore decided to remix and remaster “Total Teutonic Torso” EP, as the “Definitive Version” :
“We thought that the initial version of the EP was good and had its charms, but did not have the sound we wanted. So we remixed and remastered the EP and the result is very significant: the sound is much closer to how we sound live, which really does justice to the songs. It was very important for us to deliver to the listeners the real thing and to release the best EP we could do. We consider this version as the definitive. We hope you’ll like it as much as we do !”
